Grief
The waves pull me under,
Crashing from leaf to leaf,
I listen
And let them.
The ocean brings me solace,
I never thought I'd feel
Listen, listen,
Feel their embrace.
Loud and fierce,
This storm on the waves
Drown me in silence,
Quietly bringing me calm.
I sit, angry and sad
Slowly ebbing away,
Surrounded and lonely,
Me and my ocean of trees.
